The debut EP, write the things which you have seen, is set to be released on December 27th, features five tracks, including their singles this one’s 4 u, through the mirror and OUR LOVE IS POWER. Recording for the EP was started at Vision House in Grand Rapids and finished in Chicago at Rat Future Recordings, all songs mixed and mastered by Seth Beck. Seth is also a co-writer of premonition, one of the first studio-recorded tracks by crystal trench. 

Their current sound takes inspiration from the performative and theatrical elements of Art Pop. They take inspiration from artists like Grimes, Charli XCX, and FKA Twigs, while blending in sounds from iconic 80’s performers such as Prince, The Cure, and New Order. Crystal Trench is combining these old sounds and writing styles with the new, while putting their own spin on it, using contemporary instrumentation and producing.
